L sat in his base, waiting for his group to come. He had sent out a message to them seeing how many would stay on this case. And so far he didn't know stayed or left. He walked over to the couch sitting in his squatting position. He grabbed a piece of cake in his weird fashion and ate in. His black eyes scanning his camera screen, seeing if there was any life. Sadly none at the moment. His black raven hair glowing in the dim light,Yeah he was bored, nothing to do, there was nothing, until now.
Watari had left due to L's response to the kira case. L Looked down at the ground for a split second thinking on a few things of the Kira killings. He then looked back up staring at the screen, searching for and bit of life to move or come. His white shirt a bit crumpled from him sitting in his fashion, blue pants that looked to faded to be new or worn. He put his thumb up to his mouth, pressing into his two front teeth, thinking of more things. Ugh it seemed like there was so much thinking, that he had nothing to do with it. It felt like so much information that went to waist. He sighed letting out a bit of frustration, and waited for the group to arrive.

Kaori's screen flashed with a bright white light and of course the usual english L came up on screen. Rolling over and almost off her couch Kaori's sleepy eyes suddenly snapped awake. Her bright blue orbs flashed over to the screen and she sat up quickly, her clothing wrinkled and worn from the night before. She had been spending days trying to track down any and all information concerining Kira, there were so many followers. People were becoming blind towards true justice and Kaori needed to set things right, with L's help of course.
Laughing she quickly ran towards the computer and read the cry for attendance. Sighing she ran to her closet and let down her long blond hair and pulled on some jeans and a nice black shirt. Buttoning it she stared at the screen once more, obviously L needed something, he wasn't one to just call for a random get together. Strapping on her heels she checked her watch, 10:30 p.m. Damn him, growled the profiler, as usual, no respect for those who actually NEED sleep. she thought viciously while grabbing her purse and shutting her laptop. Taking the usual route to work she knocked on the door and opened it.
"You called for me L?" of course she knew who he was truely, due to the fact they both attended the same house, Kaori wondered however if she was the only one who knew his true name, naturally she'd never betray it, she cared too deeply for the mysterious detective. Ever since she was admited into Wammy's Kaori developed small feelings for Lawliet. However she wasn't about to let him see them so easily. As always she leaned against the door, "You do know some of us enjoy sleeping right?" she teased lightly before setting herself on the couch. Snaching up a piece of cheesecake she stared at him, "Mind?" she gestured to asking him if she could have one. "So is there something you've discovered?" she asked cutting straight to the point.

L looked up a the girl that just entered. " yes I have just been assigned to the Kira case " He said stuffing a piece of cake in his mouth. " I'm currently waiting for the rest " As he chewed the cake. His Dull gray pools looking her up and down. " I do realize some of you need sleep, but it is not mandatory " He spoke looking at the screen. He looked back at her nodding at her gesture to have some. He put his thumb in between his tow front teeth looking at the girl.
He seemed to know her, but he wasn't quiet sure. L looked at her once more before asking her the question. " Are you part of my group for capturing Kira, if so i need to know your name " His voice muffled by the thumb. His eyes traced over the Screen again before falling on the girl. His dull gray pools scanning her hair, eyes, trying to memorize her for future reference. His Raven black hair jet into on positing, he never seemed to brush it, unlike may people who did he just thought it was pointless like sleep and many other things. He sat there quietly waiting for her reply.

Kaori smirked at him as he spoke about being assigned to the Kira case, "I figured as much, I gathered that when you sent out the letter." she replied munching on the cake she gathered. Laughing at his comment about needing sleep she shook her head, "Let's define Mandatory here L, sleep is needed for the human body to recuperate after a long days work, some of us can't stay up all night like you." she replied gently in a teasing manner. She was often worried she would offend Lawliet and that was the last thing she wanted to do, espcially with how much she cared for him.
Seeing him watch her made her feel a bit uneasy and she stared at him right back, tilting her head, her blonde straight hair leaining against her shoulder, "What? Something in my teeth?" she asked him wondering what it was that had his attention. Running her hands through his hair she laughed, "You still never brush it do you?" she asked him once again, she always found herself smiling whenever he was around and truth was it was rather annoying to her. It was, however, a now constant habit she had obtained because of him, this made him rather infuriating at times however she wouldn't let him know it.
Toying with the fork she suddenly heard him speak "Are you part of my group for capturing Kira, if so i need to know your name " The fork landed on the floor with a loud clatter as Kaori turned and looked at him, face white as snow and expression in the form of shock and sadness. "Y-you don't remember me?" she managed to get out of her mouth as she continued to watch him with sorrow and hurt. "Well, that's to be expected, it has been such a long time Lawliet." she said giving him a soft shy smile. "Kaori." she merely said to him as she turned her attention back to the tea and poured herself a cup, "My name...." she whispered to herself as she swallowed the burning liquid.

' Ok just putting it out there again " He said as he shifted his weight on the chair. He wasn't about to sit. as he said his thinking would fall 40% and he couldn't have that. He looked at Kaori once more. " Yes, but you can if you put your mind to it " As he looked down at the floor then back at her. He smirked at the thought of something in her teeth. " Girls are so touchy about there appearance why is that? " He asked her a bit curious as he put his thumb in between his two front teeth a habit that he always had.
" Why should i it is not necessary for me to do, besides my hair is fine at this point " He said looking up at his hair with a spoon in his mouth. He just ate a piece of cake and happened to look a bit retarded with it in his mouth. " Don't be offend Kaori, I asked because i wanted to see if you changed your name form the last time " He looked back at her the spoon in his hand. " Any ways a lot of people are know to change there names like me " He used the spoon as a pointing utensil as he saw her a bit sad. He really didn't mean to he just had to take his steps very carefully.

Kaori smirked and rolled her eyes, she said nothing about his comment for 'putting it out there' again and took a sip of tea. "That's true, but I don't want to put my mind to anything aside from this bothersome case." she said looking for some files to study. Laughing at his question Kaori turned to him and smiled, "Because we have to work hard to impress you lot so we aren't given a hard time about not being one of the 'beautiful girls'." she teased him You'd be surprised L, you are the hardest to impress. she thought secretively as she sipped her glass once more.
Truth was she spent most of her time at Wammys to do just that. Working long hours into the night to come up with answers for cases they were given, searching through every file, ever shread of evidence to come up with the perfect plot and deduction, it wasn't easy keeping up with Lawliet but damnit Kaori tried her hardest and her efforts were rewarded greatly. But as with most boys it was never good enough. Sighing she shook her head and looked around once more to find something, anything that gave away his thoughts on the case, "So L, any Ideas on what's going on?" she asked him gingerly, curious to hear his point of view on the case.
Smiling into her cup Kaori bit her lip, "Sure, it looks....great." she spoke giving him an uncertain look on her lips. "If the roll-out-of-bed look is back in season." she teased him knowing full well he really could careless about what was in and out. Nodding next she sighed, "Still I must confess I wouldn't have been surprised if you didn't remember me, after all it has been quite a long time, the last time I saw you, you were walking out the door for good." she told him gently feeling the heartache she experienced that day all over again. "So tell me something, what do you even remember of me Lawliet? By the way I'll just go by K for this investigation." she said simply drinking once more from the cup.

"Hm I'll tell you know you wont get much sleep on this case " He said looking at her as he dropped a few sugar cubes in the cup. He looked a kaori. She did become older, more mature, but he didn't feel much for women. Mostly they were just clingy girls, but not most of them. He just nodded at her reply. ~typical for a girl to answer~ He thought as he took a drink out of his cup. The warm liquid falling through his lips then down his throat. His dull gray pools looking up at the screen to see if anyone was on there way up.
Non of course it was like the police too forever. He hated to wait at times, but he was ok for now. At least he had one here. L Looked at kaori as she spoke again setting down his cup in the proses. Lawliet just folded his hands together resting them on his chin. " I have some leads, but I'm not judging yet, I need more evidence " He said as ruffled his raven mane a bit. "Besides i don't think my hair has anything to do with the case " He looked at her his hands still in the position.
He looked at kaori. His dull gray pools looking into her for a moment. He moved them, he had been thinking of something, but lost it. He looked back a the woman seeing her drink the liquid. "I remember only a little bit not much, only that you were the best criminal profiler there was at whammy's " he shifted his head a bit to get a different look at her. " So as you can see, i have brought or morly asked you to come here ' As he removed his hands and picked up the glass drinking the warm liquid. He set the cup down only to lick his lips lightly.

Kaori smirked, "Well you DID ask a girl Lawliet." she said pushing him lightly. Sometimes he could be so annoying for the world's greatest Detective, sighing she took a sip of the tea and grimaced, "Sugar?" she asked him, she hated bitter and sour things with a passion, almost as much as spicy foods too, but at Wammy's that was how you were raised, enjoy sweets despise sours. Leaning back against the couch she heard him speak as her electric blue orbs remained on his figure, it had been so long since she'd last seen him, her sudden affection was almost obvious, yet her sarcastic sense of humor quickly blocked it out.
"Oh so you are doing something, and here I thought you were just sitting here eating sweets while everyone else did the work." she teased once more, "But of course, I knew you'd know a few things when I got here, you haven't changed one bit Lawliet. It's almost comforting to see." she said grabbing a chocolate treat. Giggling at his statement about his hair she shook her head, "Honestly L, you need to learn how to use a brush." ah as usual always teasing him, she could never get enough of knocking the 'Greatest Detective' down a could notches. Her favorite game to play alone naturally.
Noticing he kept staring at her Kaori for once felt nervous, she wasn't sure what to do nor say as he stared into her eyes the only thing she could do was stare back, which she did. Feeling him read her made Kaori almost wince but she fought it hard and then he turned and spoke, the pressure off and she felt the heaviness lift from her shoulders. Hearing him only speak about how little he remembered Kaori nodded, "I see, sounds right, so that's why you needed my help then? Because you remembered I was the best?" she asked him while setting down her drink, "I suppose that's comforting in some way." she teased him gently.

" I know that Kaori " He said as he moved the tea bag up and down in the cup. He looked back up at her, his dull gray orbs looking at her as she grabbed the chocolate treat. ' Yes sugar is a bit fun to mess with in something like tea" As he put another in the tea. He shook his raven mane a bit out of his face so he could see what he was doping a bit.
" Yes I am doing something, as i always do, just like you and everyone does. " He said back to her. Even though L was a bit Salome, he knew how to talk back. He looked at Kaori " Yes i know a few things more, i already know who is kira, but i need more information to prove it " As he bit his finger thinking of a few things. " And a brush isn't a mandatory thing i need, so there for i don't need one. "
He took his finger from his mouth and mess with the sugar in the tea a bit. "Yes you are the best in criminal filing, so this in one thing i need, Find two criminals that have been killed at 8:oo and how they were killed " As he looked at her. " I have a theory that the Kira is a student and he can control there death when ever he feels like it. " As he sat there looking at the TV screen, waiting for her reply.
